Moravia IT Awarded Compaq's Best Localization Partner 2000 Award

Brno, Czech Republic - January 23, 2001

Compaq EMEA today announced that it has awarded Moravia IT with the title "Compaq Best Localization Partner 2000 in Europe, Middle East and Africa." Moravia IT, a multi-language provider of software and Web site localization services, has recently changed its name from Moravia Translations to better reflect its focus on information technologies and to indicate that the variety of services provided is wider than the original name suggested.

The award was officially presented by Compaq's EMEA Localization and Certification Director Frans Bruinsma during his visit at Moravia's headquarters in Brno, Czech Republic. On the occasion of his visit and meeting with the dedicated Compaq team at Moravia, Frans said: "The competition was a very close race in all criteria, and all of Compaq's localization partners have shown excellent performance. At this point I would like to thank you and your teams on behalf of Compaq EMEA for your excellent contribution to our business in 2000."

The localization team at Compaq is known for its well-elaborated system of technical and linguistic quality assurance and for the strict criteria it applies, which are the basis for the annual awards. Moravia has been scoring consistently high on the projects completed in 2000 in the whole range of assessed criteria.

Moravia currently provides its localization services to Compaq into 11 European languages, serving the needs of the Portables, Warranties, and Desktops and Workstations groups within Compaq. The complete solutions provided include full localization as well as the optimization of documents for print and on-line publishing.
